``Banshu Beef'' is subject to the same strict requirements as Matsusaka Beef and Yonezawa Beef: ``Female cows of grade 4 or above and over 28 months of age.'' Based on the technology cultivated over 75 years, the rice is grown using a unique feed consisting of locally harvested safe rice straw and grains, fermented bacteria such as beer lees, whiskey lees, okara, and natto bacteria. The meat is characterized by its excellent flavor and quality that cannot be imitated anywhere else.
